Best Restaurants in Nairobi

Nairobi, Kenya has some of the best restaurants we have ever visited. From typical Kenyan delicacies to sushi and tacos, Kenya truly has it all!

Talisman, Nairobi

After hearing about this hidden gem in Karen, Nairobi, we simply had to check it out for ourselves. Let me tell you, we were sad… Sad that we did not go there earlier. Talisman is a very nice restaurant with a large outdoor, but covered, dinning area which makes it even more special. The food is delicious and very well presented. If you are like us and are a wine lover, I am happy to tell you that Talisman offers flights of white and red wine so you can try a variety of wine without braking the bank.

Hero Restaurant, Nairobi

Hero is for sure our favorite restaurant in Nairobi, Kenya. We are huge sushi lovers and Hero does it more than well sushi wise although literally everything on the menu will surpass your expectations.

Apart from the food, the ambiance of Hero is quite unique. Located on the 9th floor of the Trademark Hotel, Hero offers a very nice view of the Nairobi skyline on top of having a very unique decor themed around superheroes and beautiful murals all around the restaurant.

We cannot recommend this amazing restaurant enough, even if you don’t like sushi!

Mercado, Nairobi

Anyone who knows me is aware of my obsession over Mexican food and I can tell you that Mercado in Nairobi really hits the spot. Every single bite brings you straight in Mexico. The tacos, Fajitas, enchiladas and homemade chips are truly delicious and if you enjoy having a cocktail or three, Mercado has the best deals on cocktail in town BY FAR!

Inti - A Nikkei Experience, Nairobi

If you don’t mind splurging, we highly recommend Inti in Nairobi. A beautiful restaurant with a luxurious ambiance located on the 20th floor of One Africa Place, offering a stunning view of Nairobi, especially at night. This restaurant is perfect for a relaxing and quiet date night with your better half, enjoying some of the best food Nairobi has to offer while sipping on a nice glass of wine.

Sankara Hotel, Autograph Collection, Nairobi

Currently costing Ksh _____ for food or Ksh ____ for the bunch and all inclusive drink package, a Sunday Brunch at Sankara is definitely not the cheapest option but you will not be disappointed. This brunch is so big that they give you a map to make sure you can find all the stations. The stations are arranged as different food around the world, and yes, there is also a Willy Wonka Chocolate factory station for dessert as well. This brunch is the perfect balance of amazing food along with instagram worthy decor.
