Best Safaris in Kenya
It is not secret, Kenyan has some of the best safaris in the entire world, but where should you actually go for your first safari or for your next bush adventure? Here are a few of our favorite safari camps in Kenya.
Sirikoi Lodge, Lewa Conservancy
Sirikoi is an award winning lodge located in the beautiful Lewa Conservancy in Kenya. If you can only visit one camp in your life, this is the one we would recommand.
For the safaris, Sirikoi is one of the few camps in Kenya that still uses Land Rover Defenders, which if you are a car lover, you will appreciate. The conservancy has a large range of animals including the “big five”. But, you actually don’t have to go far from your tent to see some wildlife. In fact, the lodge has a waterhole where elephants and other animals come to visit around the clock. Did I talk about the two resident giraffes?
Sirikoi, to this day, is our favorite safari and overall stay we have done since our arrival in Kenya in early September 2020.
Elewana Loisaba Star Beds, Loisaba Conservancy
If the traditional safari camp is not enough for you well, Star Beds by the Elewana Collection should do the trick. There is no other way to be this close to the wild without sacrificing comfort.
Other than the bed, which is for sure the main attraction, the food was delicious as this camp serves more traditional Kenyan dishes which we truly enjoy. The game drives were also very fun and interactive thanks to an amazing safari guide. All that to say, you will never be disappointed during a stay at Elewana Loisaba Star Beds.
Solio Lodge by The Safari Collection
If you know anything about The Safari Collection, the same company that owns the Instagram Famous Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, then you know that this is the top in terms of luxury.
The lodge itself is simply amazing. Very luxurious with a beautiful African theme to fully immerse you into this experience. The staff working at Solio is as good as it gets and they will go above and behind to make your stay as perfect as possible. Finally, the accommodations are very large cottages with a bathroom almost as large as the living area which might be nicer than your own house…
We had a very lovely stay at Solio and we would recommended to anyone looking for a luxurious experience or who wants to see a lot of rhinos.
